Lux is a unit of light measurement where the area is also taken into account. 1 = 1 Lumen/SqMtr, ( light intensity in a specific area ). Lux meter is used to measure the amount of light output in a given area.
A light engineering term exists for the measurement of the rate at which a lamp is able to convert electrical power (Watts) to Light (Lumens) – this is referred to as "luminous efficacy" (or just efficacy) – and is expressed in Lumens per watt.
Choose your lights properly for energy saving.
